How to add a logo watermark to a photo

To put a logo on product photos, portfolio images or brand pictures, start with a clear logo file and check its size, margins and contrast on the actual photo. Lightmark Camera supports a logo on its own or combined with text. You can apply the same setup to a batch of images without uploading your photos or logo.

Step by step

  1. Open the online watermark tool. Choose “Add photos” and import a representative photo to test your setup.
  2. Choose “Logo” and select your logo image. Use a PNG that already has a transparent background if you want the photo to show through around the logo.
  3. Choose “Single” and position the mark, for example at the bottom right. Adjust its size, opacity and rotation, leaving some space from the edge.
  4. Check the other photos in your batch. Inspect different backgrounds and orientations to make sure the logo remains readable and does not cover the subject.
  5. Choose JPG or PNG, then download the selected photo or the full batch as a ZIP. Confirm that the files are saved before closing the page.

Why does my logo have a white box around it?

Check the original logo file first. A JPG with a white background has no transparency. Renaming it to PNG does not remove that background. Use the original transparent PNG from your brand files, or remove the background with an image editor before importing it.

Transparency in the logo and transparency in the exported picture are separate choices. A transparent logo can be placed on a normal JPG photograph. If the finished picture itself needs transparent areas, export it as PNG.

Choose a size and position that fit the photo

For a product photo, keep the product easy to inspect. For a photography credit, try a corner that does not disrupt the composition. There is no percentage that works for every image. Check that the logo is recognizable at the size at which the picture will be shared, including on a phone.

The DEMO below uses Single mode, bottom-right placement, size 24%, opacity 100% and rotation 0°. These are example settings, not a universal recommendation. The photo orientation, logo margins and output size can all change what looks right.

What if a pale logo disappears into the background?

If your brand assets allow it, try a dark or light version suited to the background, or move the mark to a clearer area. Reducing opacity makes a logo fainter and may make the problem worse. Inspect the exported picture before deciding whether to change the asset or its position.

Can I add my brand name as well?

Choose Combined to use a logo with text. A short brand name or credit is often easier to read than several lines of contact information. For repeated coverage across the picture, follow the tiled-watermark guide linked below.

Can I use the same logo on a batch?

Yes. Import the photos, then set up your logo. The web tool accepts up to 100 images at a time. Check landscape photos, portrait photos and different backgrounds before and after exporting. Split the set if some pictures need another placement. Use only logos you have permission to use, and keep the original photographs and brand files.
